My sweet little man is 2! We were in Orlando for my marathon on his official birthday, so Glenn and Scott went out and picked up a cake for him. He of course loved the cake.
Rylan is quite the handful! He is spontaneous, silly, playful, defiant, forgiving, generous, tough and just plain a joy to have in our family. It's hard to stay mad at him for long. When he's naughty, which is often, he usually will crack a smirk or a smile during his repremand and then start to laugh. It's very tough to keep a straight face with him. But as often as he is bad, he is double the amount good. He is a lover! His hugs and kisses are countless and he loves to cuddle. Lately, when asked to give a hug or kiss, he starts with a kiss then proceeds to give a hug, squeeze, butterfly kiss for both eyes, and an eskimo kiss. If he is asked to share his snacks with his brother, he almost always will. He apologizes when he's done something wrong, and he truly adores Aidan and wants to copy him all the time.
Rylan amazes us all the time. He knows his whole alphabet and sounds. He knows his numbers but will count in the wrong order. He talks ALL THE TIME! Some of the things he says are hilarious. He repeats everything, and his little lisp on his "s" sound is adorable! He has, on occassion, used the potty. It isn't anything that is consistant, but hopefully within the next few months we will have it down. His favorite movies right now are The Bee Movie, Robots, Toy Story, Cars, Wall-E, Happy Feet and The Letter Factory. He loves to sleep with his Lightning McQueen blankie, and will carry his Lightning McQueen car and other characters around all day long!
Grandma Kathy, Papa Glenn and Kristen were in town the Friday after his birthday, so they stopped by to celebrate with him. My parents also joined in.
Papa Glenn teaches people how to fly airplanes. This is a toy of one of the exact planes.
