Rocket Trip

Today I went to a very special book signing! My friend from the gym, Maria, has an 11 year old son, Joshua, who just had his first book "Rocket Trip" published. He held his book signing at the Saks Fifth Avenue in the Bell Tower Shops. The entire book was written and illustrated by Josh. It is truly a wonderful book! I'm so glad I could support this great achievement! Proceeds from his book are being donated to Barbara's Friends- The Children's Hospital Cancer Fund Lee Memorial Health System Foundation. Blast off into space! Rocket Trip is a colorful picture book about three children – Izzy, Sally, and Nick – and their incredible adventure. One night, while restless in their room, they hear a noise outside the window. It’s an amazing rocket ship, and it takes them on an exhilarating adventure to outer space. They explore the solar system guided by FLICK, a computer robot. Traveling from the sun to Neptune, they discover the wonders of each planet. It seems like a dream, or is it?

J.A. Galang is an eleven year old lively, funny, and well-rounded boy who loves to read, draw, and imagine. He is currently in sixth grade and resides in Florida with his parents and younger sister.

J.A. has been fascinated by the field of science, specifically space, planets, and rockets. He wrote his first book on space and the planets at the age of five. In the summer of 2008, his ever-evolving curiosity of space discoveries and his zest for writing led to his latest odyssey: Rocket Trip.
