Leah called me today and said that she had some free tickets for the circus, and asked if I wanted to bring the boys. What? Free Tickets to the circus? We're There!
So I packed some food and snacks and headed over for the 2:00 show. It was a small circus, being held inside tents in front of the GCTC Target parking lot. Circus Sarasota is a Not-For-Profit organization, whose portions of their proceeds go to numerous charities such as Laughter Unlimited. Laughter Unlimited uses the age-old art of clowning to offer patients "humor therapy". For more information on this awesome organization check out their website!
We headed inside and found our seats. There weren't many people there, which was good, especially for our rambuctious little ones. The kids watched in amazement! Some of the acts were pretty impressive, notably the contortionist-a 14 year old Russian boy. The boys really loved the act with all the puppies! We ended up leaving before it was over, missing the last act. The boys hadn't had a nap and it was clearly time to go! Thanks Leah for the tickets!
Some pictures of the boys made it into the Naples Daily News.
